Wedding Shoes are Very Important
The pair of shoes that a bride wears for her wedding is very important. You might give it the least priority in your scope of things. But just imagine the pain, the embarrassment if you slipped and fell just because you weren’t wearing the right shoes. Or imagine the scenario wherein at the end of your special day you have an aching back and swollen feet. So put shopping for shoes somewhere near the top of your things to be done list.
Today with simple sleek designs for the gowns, people are focusing on the bridal shoes. They are no longer tucked away under the bridal dress not to be seen by anyone. People do notice your shoes. If you are wearing a short length dress for the wedding, your shoes will definitely be seen by all. And if you are wearing a long gown the shoes will definitely peep from under the gown when you wlak, climb up the stairs and dance.
Never sacrifice comfort over style. Remember they are your feet. And remember you will be in those pair of shoes for almost a full day. You could find the most extraordinary pair of shoes but if they aren’t comfortable, please don’t buy them. Buy a pair of shoes that will match your gown and at the same time fit your feet well.
It is good to buy your pair after you selected your gown but before the fitting and alteration sessions. This way you know what your gown will look like and you will be able to choose the color and style of the bridal shoes to match the gown. If you have your pair of wedding shoes before the fitting sessions, make sure you carry them along. Wear them when measurements are being taken so that the hemline of the gown is just right with the bridal shoes on.
You have bridal shoes made of leather but combined with cotton and satin to give a smooth silk appearance. You have shoes made of suede and synthetic leather too. Choose one that meets your requirement depending on the location for the wedding. No leather on the beach. No suede outdoors if there are chances of it getting wet.
You might consider going in for heels. If you always walk around in heels and are comfortable doing so, don’t change for your wedding. Buy those gorgeous pair of bridal wedding shoes. But if you are skeptical about heels and aren’t sure you can carry yourself on heels the whole day long, try choosing a pair of low heeled or flat bridal shoes. There are plenty of designs and styles available.
If you do choose to wear heels, make sure you have enough time to practice walking in them. Walk in them every day for at least a few weeks. This way you will get used to the heel and also can break in the pair of shoes. They will feel comfortable on the wedding day. You will not have shoe bites or blisters. But remember to walk indoors else you stand a chance of soiling your precious pair of wedding shoes.
